I am Grateful: A Gratitude Journal

Gratitude is a thankful appreciation for what an individual receives, whether tangible or intangible. With gratitude, people acknowledge the goodness in their lives. Gratitude helps us feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve our health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships. There are other ways we can show gratitude through keeping a journal, counting our blessings, writing thank you notes and meditation.

In this journal you have room to:

  • Celebrate small wins
  • Arm yourself with words of wisdom (you can even add your own)
  • Keep a To-Do list
  • Take notes on things you read, hear and watch
  • Write Gratitude affirmations
  • Use Gratitude Zones if you get stuck for ideas!

The reason for this journal is for us to develop a habit of writing things down. This is a powerful thing because our brains cannot remember and retain everything, though sometimes, we remember most things especially when we are younger. But as we grow older, we cannot, as much as we would like to remember everything. However, when we write things down; every thought, every dream, our day to day at work; we can easily go back to it and reflect. This can be a helpful asset for our children and grandchildren. It can help others to navigate life and it can help us to cultivate a writing habit that we can pass on to the younger generations and ideas that will benefit them in the long run.
